Maurice Brocco 400 – bildet banden!

Hi again! I want to invite you to chat about your plans concerning MB400. What route will you be taking? What are your hopes, your fears, your expectations? With whom are you riding and how many times did you do this before?

All that and more you’re welcome to share. And who knows you’ll be able to connect with even more like-minded people than those that willingly are intending to ride 400 km.

Hi, me and my friend Robin are from Czech rep, i just saw last year lots of riders from MB400, when we were bikepacking in the same area (north of Czech rep and pure coincidence) and i knew i want to be part of it next year. But we dont know any good routes around Dresden/Leipzig so i think it will be perfect if we can see some routes from experienced participants and join someones route 🙂 My biggest fear is to be able to compensate huge energy load during the ride. So what are your plans to eat, how much and how often?

Looking forward to see you! 🙂

Hi there,
a few friends and I are from Leipzig, and we were wondering if there’s any chance we could start the ride in Leipzig, make it to the official start in Dresden right on time, and then finish the whole thing back in Leipzig.

I imagine the checkpoint in Döbeln might not be open yet at that time—do you think that would be a problem, or would it still be possible somehow?

Looking forward to it already! 🙂

Hey hey,
more Leipzig people here (3 of us) and would maybe be interested in this as well. Something just feels a bit weird /off about taking the train to and from Dresden when the route passes through Leipzig anyway. Haven’t entirely made up my mind about it, though. There might be safety or other considerations against starting and finishing separately to the main group. @stefan_sd have you given it any more thought or talked to anyone else about it?

Anyway, super stoked about MB400, only a few more days now!!

Hey. I have a question about the launch schedule. Would it be possible to schedule the launch an hour earlier overall, or even just start earlier? If we start at 10 a.m. and there are 10 minutes between each block, block 6 won’t start until 11 a.m., and so on. Given the expected temperatures, I think that would be quite late. Best regards, Robin

Hey ppl, I understand it feels odd to ride through your home town and still have quite some road ahead of you. It will be tough. CP Döbeln won’t be open, it opens in the evening at 20:55, so you would definitely be missing a stamp. On top you won’t have your stamp card yet. Of course you would ride the same distance though.

Please not that check-in on Saturday is between 8:00 and 9:00. That’s not a lot of time if there’s lots of riders picking up stamp cards on Saturday. Friday would be better, but of course you would have to sleep in Dresden.

The launch schedule is fixed, mainly because of the above reason. Also the first checkpoint is setting up when we are checking in. There’s only three blocks however, so it won’t take forever.

please note there’s going to be three different routes out of the city due to safety reasons.
